Eamonn Dougan conducting debut with Philharmonia Orchestra at Royal Festival Hall
23 November 2024
Newly returned from London and Poland where Eamonn conducted The Sixteen in one of his celebrated Polish Baroque programmes, Eamonn will make his debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Philharmonia Choir conducting Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Festival Hall. Handel’s festive masterpiece, featuring the iconic ‘Hallelujah’ chorus, is a most loved work in the classical repertoire. Eamonn brings a wealth of experience in choral and orchestral conducting, and is especially renowned his for brilliant “judgement and skill” in “drawing out the nuances” (Bachtrack) and “some superbly otherworldly textures from the singers” (Limelight). Eamonn’s handpicked soloists (Nardus Williams soprano, Catherine Wyn-Rogers mezzo-soprano, Benjamin Hulett tenor and Matthew Brook bass-baritone) are sure to excite too.
